Sardis, GA - Dr. Samuel Edward "Doc" Milhous, Jr., DC, 66, entered into rest Tuesday, January 5, 2010.Born in Millen, GA on July 28, 1943, he was a son of the late Samuel Edward Milhous, Sr. and Fannie Johnson Milhous.He was a founding member of Renewal Community Church in Augusta.He graduated from Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport, Iowa with a Doctorate Degree on October 19, 1966.He practiced for 44 ½ years until his sudden death.His first love was always God, second was his wife, third was his children, and fourth was his church family.Donations can be made to Renewal Community Church, c/o Pastor Bob Wilson.The address will be given by calling 706-793-1063.Doc, you are most greatly loved.Your memory will live on in everybody you touched.You will be forever missed and never ever forgotten.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Alan Milhous, DC; sister, Callie; mother-in-law, Marla Geanne "Maw" George.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 24 ½ years, Paula G. Milhous, of the home; two sons, Robert Evan Milhous (Dana), James Edward Milhous; one daughter, Tara Elizabeth Milhous; nieces, Melissa and Trina Milhous; three grandchildren; adopted son, Greg Rachels (Melissa); god-daughter, Anber Kitchens, and her fianc, Jay LaFountain; sister-in-law, Beth Todd, and her fianc, Kenneth Bottoms, Sr.; brother-in-law, Kenneth A. Graves, Jr.; god-sons, Kenneth Bottoms, Jr., Dillon Bartlett, and John Godert.He is also survived by special friends, Deborah Patton, Kathy Laughinghouse, Charles Black, Walter Worsham, and Monetta Murphy.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 8, at the funeral home.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 9, at the funeral home.Pastor Bob Wilson will officiate.Interment will follow at Burke Memorial Gardens, Waynesboro.Pallbearers will be Jim Pauline, Kenneth Bottoms, Jr., Billy Jack Myers, Kevin Joyner, Kenneth Bottoms, Sr., Clay Myers, Stoney Turnage, and George Mutimer.Honorary pallbearers will be Walt Worsham, Joe Bartlett, Earl Williams, Charles Black, and Dr. Maurice Wallace.The family and pallbearers are asked to assemble at the funeral home by 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
