Dorothy Ann Calhoun

Dorothy Ann Calhoun, 87, born February 8, 1936, and entered into rest Monday, January 1, 2024. She was from Fanning Springs, FL and has lived in Burke County since 2020. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Dorothy loved to oil paint, sew, embroider, tending to her roses, and loved animals. She was a beautiful faithful wife and loving mother to seven children. She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Edward Walch; and two grandchildren, Graham and Kate Walch.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Dale Eugene Calhoun, SFC(R) of Waynesboro; six children, Dorren Walch of Amelia Island, FL, Kathleen Hall of Amelia Island FL, Richard Hopkins, SFC(R) of Waynesboro, GA, Melanie Nearman (Steve) of Plymouth, MA, William Calhoun, CSMG(R) (Jutta) of Plano,MO, and John Calhoun (Claudia) of Cross City, FL; a sister, Louise Geiger of Palm Springs, FL; 16 grandchildren; and more than 30 great grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date.

Remembrances may be made to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
