Mr. Donald "Don" Robert Mattson, age 55, died in Waynesboro, Georgia on April 25, 2015.
Don was born Feb. 18, 1960, in San Bernardino, CA. He graduated from Fontana High School, Fontana, CA in 1978, and joined the San Bernardino County Fire Department as a fireman and then the EMS team in later years. He moved to GA in the fall of 2008 to spend more time with his brother, Dennis Arnold Mattson, of Waynesboro, GA.During his retirement in Waynesboro, he was a smiling and beloved face at the Bi-Lo grocery store.

He is survived by his son, Eric Mattson, of San Bernardino, CA; his step-son, Chris Lorimer, of Fontana, CA; his ex-wife and dear friend, Karen Lorimer Mattson of San Bernardino, CA; his brother, Dennis Mattson of Waynesboro, GA; his nieces, Amanda Mattson Johnson and Candace Mattson Eskew of Waynesboro, GA; his niece, Charlene Mattson Coburn, andhis nephews, Doug Mattson, Clifford Mattson and Jeremy Mattson of the San Diego, CA area; and numerous great-nephews and great-nieces, all whom loved and respected him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his parents Arnold and Ruth Mattson formerly of Fontana, CA; and his brother, Douglas James Mattson formerly of San Diego, CA.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m., Thursday, Apr. 30, at the DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home, Pastor Earl Saxon will officiate.The family will receive friends following the memorial service until 8 p.m.Additionally, a memorial service will be held in Wildomar, CA, with the burial service at the Wildomar Cemetery.
