Donald Reid Corley

Statesboro, GA. - Donald Reid Corley, 62, died peacefully Sunday, September 30, 2012 at his residence in Statesboro, GA. Born in Augusta, GA., he was a son of the late Charles Spurgeon Corley and the late Dorothy Chalker Corley. Don retired as Postmaster of Statesboro with the United States Postal Service after 38 years of service. He was an avid golfer and a "die-hard" Georgia Bulldog fan. Don was a member of Hill Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Norman Corley.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Cynthia Bailey Corley, son, Jeffrey Reid Corley, mother and father in law, Helen and Otis Bailey, and a large extended family.

A celebration of Don's life will be held at DeLoach-McKerley Funeral Home in Waynesboro at 12 noon on Wednesday, October 3, 2012.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6-8pm on Tuesday, October 2, and at the funeral home 1 hour prior to the service.
