Donald "Donnie" Burke

May 16, 1944 — January 7, 2016

Millen-Donald "Donnie" Burke, 71, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2016, at University Hospital.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Jenkins County. Mr. Burke was retired from J&B Tractor after 37 years of service. He was a member of the West Millen Baptist Church and was an avid fisherman and was known to fish the coldest days on the Savannah River putting in at his favorite landing Poor Robin.

Surviving are, his daughters, Melissa Brown of Warthen, Georgia and Rhonda Clark and her husband Pat of Millen; his sister, Ortense Beard of Millen; his grandchildren, Brianna Brown, Jodie Brown, Dawson Fields, J.T. Clark and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, January 10, 2016, at the Deloach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Dallas Wilson will officiate.

The Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
