Dell Ward Godbee

Waynesboro, GA - Mrs. Dell Ward Godbee, 90, entered into rest Sunday, November 21, 2010, at Golden Living Center/Windermere in Augusta, GA.
Mrs. Godbee had always been a homemaker, and she was a member of First Baptist Church.One of her greatest joys was showing love by cooking and baking for her family.The sense of unity that she provided for the family and her presence will be greatly missed.She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Godbee.

Survivors include two sons, Bill (Joan) Godbee of Lynchburg, VA and Gilbert (Glenda) Godbee of Spartanburg, SC; two daughters, Beverly G. (Clyde) Thompson of Grovetown, GA and Deborah G. (Dave) Johnson of Charlotte, NC; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 23, at DeLoach-McKerley Funeral Home.The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service.Dr. Dave Johnson will officiate.Interment will follow at Burke Memorial Gardens.Pallbearers will be Mark Godbee, Jason Broome, Corey Threatt, and David Birdsong.
