David C. Tapley

April 1, 1940 — February 28, 2018

Sardis-David C. Tapley entered into rest on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Emanuel County and was a longtime resident of Burke County. He was a retired truck driver from A&W Oil Company.
He was preceded death by his parents, Walter and Thelma Tapley, his wife, Ellen M. Tapley and his sister, Carolyn Tapley.
Surviving are, his son, Randy Tapley and wife, Melissa of Sardis, his sisters, Henrietta Toole of Atlanta, Leslie Beasley of Swainsboro; his brothers, Walter Tapley and wife Glenda of Swainsboro, Leland Tapley of Kite, Eddie Tapley and wife Brenda of Milledgeville; his grandchildren, Eric Tapley and wife Amy of Augusta, Ashley E. Taylor and husband Trey of Keysville; a special friend Patsy Poole of Sardis and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018 in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Wes Lawson officiating.
Remembrances may be made the American Cancer Society.
