Vidette, GA - David H. Baughman, 74, entered into rest on Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta, GA.He was born in Butler, Pennsylvania on June 14, 1936 to the late Frank A. Baughman and Florence Means Baughman.He was retired from the Naval Research Laboratory as a planner and estimator.A resident of Vidette since 1996, Mr. Baughman was a member of Vidette United Methodist Church.His hobbies included woodworking, fishing, and golfing.He was a veteran of the United States Army where he received many honors.He was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Baughman.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Rosemary Baughman; three children, Laura Baughman, Tim Baughman, and Stephanie Daltry; two sisters, Jean Twerdok (John) and Pat Lorusso; sister-in-law, Marge Baughman; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 7, at Vidette United Methodist Church.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 at the church with Rev. Wayne Dixon officiating.Burial will follow at Rose Dhu Cemetery.Honorary pallbearers will be Buddy Wren, Phillip Wren, Frank Agerton, Frank Tison, Buster Beard, Curtis Beard, and Al Cooper.
