She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Gene "Pooch" Brandt of Waynesboro; 3 children, Jean Barrentine (Ray) of Louisville, GA, David Brandt (Robin) of Monroe, NC, and Patrice Hewlett (Rich) of Garner, NC; and 4 grandchildren, PFC Drew Barrentine (Kathryn), Taylor Barrentine, and Megan and Ryan Hewlett.
Visitation will be at DeLoach-McKerley Funeral Home from 1:30 to 3:30 pm Thursday, July 3, with a Rosary service preceding visitation at 1:00pm. A funeral mass will be at 11 am Friday, July 4, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will be in Iowa at a later date. Pallbearers will be Juan Casarez, Jr., Bert Cline, Ray Barrentine, Taylor Barrentine, Tommy Rowell, Rich Hewlett, and Bob Crais.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
