Daniel Rush Banks

Daniel Rush Banks, 63, entered into rest Wednesday, July 3, 2024. He was born in Waynesboro, GA to the late Margery and Martin Torbit Banks, Jr. and was a resident of Augusta. He graduated from Edmund Burke Academy and Georgia College in Milledgeville. Daniel was a member of First Baptist Church in Waynesboro and was an avid UGA fan. He was currently an employee at Orthopedic Associates Surgery Center/ Legend Orthopedics.

He is survived by his two sons, Zachary Banks of Martinez and Hunter Banks (Ansley) of Evans; three siblings, Marty Banks (Dottie) of Martinez, Tommy Banks (Molly) of Waynesboro, and JoAnne Horton of Waynesboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held 6:00pm Friday, July 12 at the First Baptist Church of Waynesboro with Rev. Tony Branham officiating. The family will receive friends after the service.

Remembrances may be made to St. Jude or a charity of one’s choice.
