Waynesboro – Dale William Roberson, 31, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, November 27, 2017. Dale was born on October 1, 1986, in Eastman, Georgia and moved to Waynesboro in June 1992. He attended school at Burkehaven Christian School and Burke County High School. He was a member of South Haven Baptist Church and was faithful in studying the Scriptures and enjoyed sharing his testimony with others. He preached several times at various nursing homes and in the local jail. Dale was an avid golfer and he was a jokester who enjoyed making people smile. He loved his family, especially his niece and nephews.
Dale was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Edward and Grace Thigpen; uncle, Roy Thigpen; nephew, Logan Morris; and paternal grandmother, Rose Mae Roberson.
Surviving are his parents, Greg and Rachel Roberson of Waynesboro; brother, David Morris (Krissie) of Waynesboro; sister, Michelle Roberson Jackson (Harley) of Sylvania; niece, Addison Morris; nephews, Luke Morris and Jaxton Morris all of Waynesboro; paternal grandfather, William Eugene Roberson (Janie) of Lumber City; aunt, Dianne Green of Mount Vernon; uncles, Howard Thigpen (Cathy) of Mount Vernon, and Gary Roberson (Kathy) of Juliette; and several cousins.
Visitation will be Friday, December 1, 2017, from 6pm until 8pm at the DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 11am Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Botsford Baptist Church with the Reverend Mike Dann and Reverend Keith McFeely officiating. Burial will follow at the Botsford Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Ron Byers, Ken Miller, Phillip Patrick, Tyler Bridgers, John Walker, and Neal Joyner. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff and members of the Christian Family Center.
