Cynthia Johnson Kersey 67, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 in Clayton, North Carolina. She was a native of Norfolk, Virginia and a longtime resident of Millen. She was a member of the Deep Creek Freewill Baptist Church, a retired LPN, and was a retired dispatcher from the Waynesboro Police Department and the Burke County Sheriff Office.
Surviving are her son Tony Kersey and wife Michelle of Nashville, Ga., her daughter, Shelley Guest and husband Dan of Clayton NC., her brothers, Michael Johnson and Don Johnson and wife Becky both of Statesboro, her grandchildren, Gabby Hardaway of Aiken SC, Daniel Friese of Millen, Andrew Hoopes of Sylvania, Bradley Hoopes of Statesboro, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 4, 2021 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will 3 p.m. Sunday, December 5, 2021 in the DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Dennis Dickey officiating.
