Cynthia was born in Knoxville, TN and grew up in Powell, TN. She graduated from Powell High School in 1965. After graduation, she married her high school sweetheart, Jerry Thomas Corum. They were married at St. George Greek Orthodox Church. Cindy's life was raising her children and caring for many others. The last 20 years were spent caring for her husband, who suffered a stroke at an early age and needed care and cared for him until his death 2015. Cindy will always be "Mimi" to many children in Burke County as she cared for too many to count, until they reached school age, just as she cared for her husband.
Visitation will be from 6-8pm Wednesday, December 7 at the funeral home. Graveside Services will be 2pm Friday, December 9 at Bell's Campground Cemetery in Powell, TN. This will be her final resting place, along with her husband.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital.
