Vidette, GA- Connie Bailey Burgamy, 61, entered into rest Friday, November 21, 2014. She was a graduate of Waynesboro High School and attended Georgia College in Milledgeville. Since 1976, she was a member and devoted volunteer of the Georgia Field Trial Association, having served as Treasurer since 2005. Connie loved her horses and was an accomplished rider. She was a member of Vidette United Methodist Church. She was a devoted mother and loved her grandchildren and family with all her heart. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Lorrine Blount Bailey; a brother, Mike Bailey; and a sister Bobbie Bailey Mobley.

She is survived by a son, Luke Burgamy (Megan) of Vidette; a daughter, Valarie Burgamy Walker (Jay Knighten) of Macon; 5 grandchildren, Kynlee Wallace, C.W. Walker IV, Katelyn Kennedy Walker, Jackson Bailey Walker, and Austin Allen Knighten; a brother, Steve Bailey (Donna) of Vidette; 2 nephews, Jack Bailey and Bill Evans IV; a niece, Barbara Ann Hammett; and many other family members.

Visitation will be 6-8pm Monday, November 24 at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be 11am Tuesday, November 25 at Vidette United Methodist Church. Rev. David Boggs will officiate. Interment will follow at Rose Dhu Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mack Bailey, Bill Bailey, Jack Bailey, Bill Evans, Michael Purkey, and Jay Knighten. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Vidette United Methodist Church, c/o Linda Horton, 7728 Hwy 305 Louisville, GA 30434.
