Charlotte Hillis

Charlotte Hillis, 50, entered into rest Thursday, September 22, 2022. She was born in Atlanta and longtime resident of Burke County. She was a graduate of Burke County High School. She was a member of Rosemont Baptist Church and was a former employee of Blakeney Elementary School. Charlotte was the caregiver for her daughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenda and Rusty Wilson; and a sister, Tonya Roxanne Perkins.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Roger Hillis; three children, Elizabeth Ashley Kinard (Branden), William Roger Hillis II, and Faith Ella Hillis all of Sardis; a brother, James Russell Wilson (Christina) of Hephzibah; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held 4:00pm Sunday, September 25 in the DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Andy Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be James Russell Wilson, Branden Kinard, Zachary Wilson, Daniel Wilson, Russell Wilson, and Noah Sanborn.
