Celia Arellano Tavares

Celia Arellano Tavares, 67, entered into rest Thursday, December 26, 2024. She was born in Mexico and came to the United States at the age of 12. She has been a resident of Burke County since 1993. Celia attended Sacred Heath Catholic Church and was an avid animal lover.

She is survived by three children, Cristina Rodriguez, Samuel Rangel, and Aracely Rangel; eight grandchildren; seven siblings, Genoveva Arellano, Tiburcio Arellano, Ofelia Arellano, Jose Arellano, Alicia Arellano, Antioco Arellano, and Rigoberto Arellano; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm Tuesday, December 31 at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be held 3:00pm Tuesday, December 31 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father John Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Gardens.
