Carl Conrad Ward

Carl Conrad “CC” Ward, 79, of Waynesboro, Georgia died on Wednesday, June 26th, 2024. He was born on November 7th,1944, in Fort Madison, Iowa, a son of Edwin and Margaret Mertens Ward. He proudly served in the US Navy and retired as an Ironworker with Local Union #709. Carl was an avid General Motors car and truck enthusiast, who enjoyed drag racing and driving the countryside.

Survivors include his son, Chad Ward and his wife Mindy of Fort Madison, Iowa;  granddaughter, Faith Ward; grandson, Noah Ward; sisters-in-law, Francine Ward and Phyllis Ward; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Genevieve Sanders Ward; brothers, George Ward, Gerard "Gus" Ward, and Raymond Ward; and stepsister, Rae Holtkamp.

Per his wishes he will be cremated with no services being held.

Memorials in his honor may be made to Holy Trinity Schools.
