Captain Jack Delaigle

October 3, 1931 — May 4, 2023

After a short illness, on the morning of May 4th 2023, Jack DeLaigle, 91, went to be with the Angels. He was a son of the late Jack and Mollie DeLaigle and a brother of late Fred, DeRossie, Allen, and Avner DeLaigle.

His life was one that no book could hold. A man that was driven beyond what could be imagined, owning well over 20 businesses on two continents and all with hands on direction with each one. His life’s beginnings were behind a mule, “ole Lottie”, plowing from sun up to sundown on his Father’s farm in Telfair. It set the tone, for his work ethic and a place he would always recall. After high school, he met his future wife, Mary, in Atlanta, while in business school. Soon after, the Air Force was his next calling, sending him to Topeka, Kansas and the service of guarding planes. In May of 1953, he married his sweetheart Mary in North Georgia and eventually called Marietta, GA home. The couple had 3 children and had 70 years together, more than either could imagine.
Jack lived a full and wonderful life with his wife Mary. Outside of hard work, they enjoyed life by having a strong faith, time with friends, traveling, skiing, family time, and the car show hobby.

Jack is survived by his wife Mary; their children, Lana, Tina, and Jay; eight grand children; 10 great grand children; and many nieces and nephews.
