C. Grant Roland

C. Grant Roland, 78, of Blythe passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at his residence. He was born on May 20, 1942, to the late Jesse Lucille and John Pinckney Roland. Grant was a devoted husband, wonderful father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who loved his family very much. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed mining for gems, and loved the mountains. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Mary Helen Roland; two brothers, Richard Roland and Earl Roland; and a sister, Mary Browning.
Surviving are his daughter, Carol Roland of Abbeville, SC; step-son, Greg Parker (Carol) of Blythe; three sisters, Martha McGinnis of Newberry, SC, Frances Ann Hinson of Rock Hill, SC, and Dorothy Ellen Roland of Martinez; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
