Brenda Oglesby Martin

Brenda Joann Oglesby Martin, 66, went to be with the Lord on February 2, 2024, at her home in Augusta, GA. She was born on May 14, 1957, to Agnes Miles in Burke County, Georgia. Brenda was a strong woman despite her trials in life and always seen the good even through the bad times. She was a friend to everyone she knew and always was there for words of encouragement or to give a good laugh. She loved everyone and always wanted to see them doing good in life. Helping people and being a caregiver was a passion of hers, and she was a light to all who knew her. She was a devoted mother and loved her children, family, and the Lord fiercely. Brenda is preceded in death by her mother, Agnes Miles; her brother, Charlie Oglesby; and her daughter Desiree Martin.

Brenda is survived by her children, James Martin, Jenny Martin, and Charlie (Sheila) Martin; her brother, Jay (Karen) Oglesby; her sister, Cindy Whisnant; and her sister in law, Susie Oglesby. She had 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews and loved each and every one of them dearly.

Memorial Services will be held 6:00pm Saturday, February 10 in the funeral home chapel.

Brenda requested that her ashes be scattered at a spot that was meaningful to her and will be done so following the service.
