Bobbye Broome Chandler
October 13, 1952 — July 16, 2016
Bobbye was retired from the Southern Company after 32 years of service where she worked as an Administrative Assistant. After retirement she enjoyed cooking, visiting various restaurants, and watching the Food Network. She also enjoyed listening to music especially from the 40's, 50's, and 60's. Bobbye was a mother figure to many young adults in the surrounding area.
She is survived by her sons; Jeffrey Chandler, Jr., Joseph Chandler II (Felicia), and Charles "Chuckie" Cheeks all of Waynesboro; a daughter Connie Hawes (David) of Perkins; a brother Tommy Broome of Hephzibah; five grandchildren Chandler Cheeks, William Hawes, Leila Hawes, Katie Hawes, and Bella Chandler.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 5:00pm at Piney Grove Baptist Church 5060 Mike Padgett Hwy, Augusta, Ga. with the Rev. Steve Sirmons officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
