Bobby Oglesby

March 27, 1964 — August 11, 2021

Bobby Oglesby, 57, entered into rest Wednesday, August 11, 2021. He was born in Effingham County and was a resident of Screven and Burke Counties. He was a graduate of Screven County High School, a member of Sardis United Methodist Church, and a member of the 528 Local Teamsters Union. Bobby and his late wife, Emily, were foster parents. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and Hyland Bent Oglesby; and his wife, Emily Robinson Oglesby.

He is survived by five siblings, William Hyland Oglesby of Millen, Patricia Cox (Tommy) of Waycross, Frances Oxford of Harrison, TN, Donnie Oglesby of Waycross, and Stevie Oglesby of Sylvania; his sister-in-law, Ginger Bridgers (Jay) of Sylvania; his brother-in-law, Elliott Robinson (Rachael) of Sardis; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Private Graveside Service will be held for his immediate family.

Remembrances may be made to Sardis United Methodist Church Servant Hands Fund.
