A native of Morrisville, NC she was born on July 1, 1954 to the late Bobby and Neola Hunsucker. She lived in Waynesboro for the past 21 years and retired as a bailiff from the Burke County Sheriff's Department.
Surviving are her loving husband of 36 years, Phil Jockel; a son, Dean Jockel (Angela) of Waynesboro; a sister, Gwen Viger (Rick) of Columbia County; a grandson, Connor Jockel; a nephew, Bob Viger; and a niece, Marie Viger.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm Friday, September 8, 2017 at the DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home Chapel with visitation starting at 6:00pm.
