Waynesboro- Billy Clark Thomas, Jr., "Lil Clark", 47, entered into rest on Friday, August 23, 2013 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Waynesboro on July 13, 1966 to the late Billy Clark Thomas, Sr. and Peggy Wilson Leiby. Truck driving was always Clark's passion. He drove for many years until health reasons forced him to retire in 2011. He was a member of Rosemont Heights Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Waldo Wilson, Sr. and Fannie Wilson; and his paternal grandparents, E.S. Thomas and Edna A. Thomas.
He is survived by 4 children, Krikett Thomas (Thomas Blackburn) of Sardis, Ashley Thomas (Kevin Gamiza) of Midville, Billy Clark Thomas, III "Bubba" of Waynesboro, and Lucian Watkins (Danielle) of West VA; a grandson, Hunter Gamiza; a granddaughter, Lily Mae Watkins; a brother, Randall Leiby (Carrie) of Waynesboro; several nieces and nephews; and many other family members.
The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Sunday, August 25 at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, August 26 at Rosemont Heights Baptist Church. Reverend Wes Lawson will officiate. Interment will follow at Green Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ivan Heatwole, Rick Greiner, Sammy Oglesby, Derossi DeLaigle, Ted Thompson, and Rodney Buchanan. Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Rosemont Heights Baptist Church.
