Billy Wess Register, Jr., 41, of Waynesboro, GA, passed on Wednesday, October 24, 2018. He was a Lieutenant with the Burke County EMA, where he served as a firefighter/EMT and was a member of the dive team.
Billy loved life and lived it with great appreciation, always anticipating whatever each day would bring. Family and firefighting was his passion, his life; a part of his DNA. He was a loving husband, nurturing father, loyal friend and faithful servant to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He grew in wisdom and knowledge and learned to impart it with grace and love. Billy was the most gracious of hosts at all family and friend gatherings. He excelled as his caring outreach in both private and public settings. Faith, family, and friends were his top priority. He was a glamorous stud to his wife, strength and support to his children, and joy and laughter to his friends. Billy will be greatly missed but many but for those who loved him most: we bid you farewell sweet, sweet man.
