Billy Jack Myers

Billy Jack Myers, 65, of Alexander, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at his home peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Charleston and has been a longtime resident of Burke County. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Billy loved to ride his Harley and was the best bullshitter there was. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jackie Myers Wingate; his father, Pete Jack Myers; two brothers, Lee Lawton and Carl Myers; and a nephew, Jeremy Lawton.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lynn Barefield Myers; a son, J.W. Myers (Summer); two daughters, Virginia Myers (Reese) and Sheana Myers; grandchildren, Austin, Faith, Jack, Amber, Hope, Jonathan, Elijah, Ryan, Kristian, Steven, Gavin, and Brilynn; great grandchildren; a brother, Clay Myers; a stepbrother, Brian Wingate, (Lisa); three stepsisters, Amy Patterson, April Griffin (Tommy), and Nichelle Johnson (Jerry); and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 3:00pm to 5:00pm Saturday, August 10 at the funeral home.
