Billie Daniel Parker

Billie Daniel Parker peacefully passed away June 5, 2024. She was born on May 8, 1933, in Augusta Georgia to the late Henry Carlton Daniel and Emily Applewhite Daniel of Waynesboro, Georgia. Billie attended Waynesboro schools and graduated in 1944. She attended Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia for two years before transferring to the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She joined ADPi sorority and graduated in 1954.

Billie settled in Atlanta with several friends, after a six-week European trip. She lived the majority of her life in Atlanta except for a brief eight-year return to Waynesboro.

Billie loved sports and enjoyed all forty-eight years of her Atlanta Falcon season tickets.

Billie had several jobs before staying with the American Cancer Society, 20 years with the Georgia Division and 20 years with the National Office.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Henry Carlton Daniel; and her sister, Sara Ann Daniel Shapard.

Surviving are her beloved son, Michael B. Parker and his wife Jackie; and two precious granddaughters, Shelby and Hannah.

Graveside services will be held Saturday June 8, 2024, in the Applewhite family cemetery with the Reverend Bruce Allen officiating.
