Waynesboro, GA-Mrs. Betty Gullett Judy, 83, wife of the late Glenn M. Judy, entered into rest April 26, 2015 at Kentwood Nursing Home in Augusta. She was born in Richmond, KY on February 27, 1932. After living in Kentucky and Indiana for a number of years, she moved with her family to Georgia in 1956. She and her husband, Glenn, spent many years as faithful servants at Burkehaven Chapel in Waynesboro. Mrs. Judy was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Glenn Judy; parents, Grant and Grace Gullett; youngest daughter, Donna Judy Bradshaw; and four brothers, Joe Gullett, Billy Gullett, Harold Gullett, and Franklin Gullett. She was loved by all and was known to be a kind, loving, and generous lady.
Her memory will be cherished by her son, David R. Judy (Connie) of Martinez; her daughter Deborah J. Gower (William) of Roswell; grandchildren, Lindsay Judy Robbins (Matthew), Jonathan Judy (Becky), Kelly Gower Demestihas (Alex) and Jessica Rutherford (Brandon); great grandchildren, Jack Judy, Evan Demestihas, Alyssa Jamison, and Ethan O'Berry; and her sisters, Ruth Winkler of Waynesboro, Brenda Kimble of Screven County, Peggy Perry of Girard, and Patricia Mann of Flint, MI.
The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Wednesday, April 29 at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held 11am Thursday, April 30 at the funeral home. Minister Barry Clanton, James Gay, and Garry Morgan will officiate. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery.
