Betty Jean Royal, 79, entered into rest Wednesday, August 18, 2021. She was a native of Burke County but lived in Midway before moving back to Burke County in the early 70s. She attended Hiltonia Christian Church and was an Elder in the church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Cleveland Royal; a daughter, Betty Maude Royal; and a son, Tommy McMillan.

She is survived by a son, Cleve Royal of Alexander; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a niece, Lea Cowart and her husband D.J.; and several other nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be held 11:00am Saturday, August 21 at Burke Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Frank Waits officiating.
