Waynesboro, GA - Bertie Ruth Mooneyham, 93, entered into rest Sunday, March 8, 2009, at Burke Medical Center. She was born September 28, 1915 in Screven County to the late Joseph Carlton Edenfield and Ethel Aileen Zeigler Edenfield.She retired as a dealer at Watkins Products where she was top salesperson for several years.She was a member of Rosemont Heights Baptist Church where she was a member of the Sunshine Sunday School Class, a member of the Saints Alive Senior Group, and a member of Woodmen of the World.She was preceded in death by her husband, Hiram Asa Mooneyham, three siblings, Ruby Sasser, Charles Edenfield, and Myra Sikes, and three grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, H. A. Mooneyham, Jr. (Evelyn) of Midville; Joel Stephen Mooneyham of Waynesboro; two daughters, Mary Simpson (Marvin) of Graham, NC, and Elaine Sikes (the late Herman Sikes) of Midville; one brother, Joe Edenfield (Daisy) of Waynesboro; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and twelve great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at DeLoach Funeral Home, Waynesboro.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at Rosemont Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Marvin Simpson and Rev. Keith Alderman officiating.Interment will follow at Burke Memorial Gardens.Pallbearers will be Carlon Sasser, Glen Edenfield, Joe Larry Edenfield, Raymond Edenfield, Tommy Edenfield, Robert Edenfield, Joel Mooneyham, Jr., Greg Simpson, and Jeffrey Simpson.Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Sunshine Sunday School Class of Rosemont Heights Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rosemont Heights Baptist Church Vision Fund, 710 Stone Avenue, Waynesboro, GA30830.
