Mrs. Bertha Sherrod Morgan, age 75, of Waynesboro, formerly of Swainsboro, entered into rest Friday, July 15, 2016. She was born in Burke County on April 19, 1941 to the late Henry Lewis Joiner and Mary Broxton Joiner Larisey. She lived most of her life in Emanuel County but has been a resident of Waynesboro for nearly 10 years. She was of the Baptist faith. Bertha was a graduate of Southeastern Technical College in Swainsboro.She worked as a phlebotomist in several area hospitals for many years until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Esteen Sherrod and Paul Morgan "Peanut"; a grandson, Randy Farrow; three brothers; and one sister.

She is survived by two daughters, Donna Fagler (Stuart) of Swainsboro and Denise Quick (Tracy) of Waynesboro; a son, Jimmy Sherrod of Midville; eight grandchildren, Nikki Hayslip (Clay) of Summertown, Kayla Smith (Rhett) of Waynesboro, Abigail Quick of Waynesboro, Norman Sherrod (Angie) of Summertown, Chris Sherrod of Midville, Crystal Foskey (Ricky) of Dublin, Jason Sherrod of Metter, and Dillon Sherrod of Midville; several great grandchildren; and many siblings, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6-8pm Sunday, July 17 at the funeral home. Graveside Services will be held at 11am Monday, July 18 at Union Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, 1168 Herndon Rd, Midville, GA 30441 (Emanuel County). Sheriff Greg Coursey will officiate.
