Bernice Cullen Reid

Bernice Cullen Reid, 88, entered into rest Thursday, April 21, 2022. She was born in Sardis and has been a longtime resident of Martinez. She was a daughter of the late Wyatt and Ida Chance Cullen. She was a member of the Sardis Methodist Church and retired from the Columbia County School District. In addition to her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Lewis Elliott; a son, William Bill Elliott; husband, Robert Julian Reid; 7 sisters; and 2 brothers.

She is survived by two daughters, Carol Elliott Roberts (Teddy) and Pamela Elliott both of Martinez; two sisters, Hazel Cullen Bennett and Geraldine Stokes both of Sardis; a brother, Thomas Cullen of Augusta; six grandchildren, Julie Roberts Lyda of Augusta, Joshua Robert of Woodstock, GA, Drew Roberts of Alpharetta, Matt Elliott of Augusta, Ashley Martin of Columbia, SC, and Alyssa Crouch of Parson, WV; and 14 great grandchildren.

Services will be private.

Remembrances may be made to the Sardis United Methodist Church.
