Waynesboro, GA - Benton Lee Hardy "Ben", 23, entered into rest on Sunday, July 18, 2010, at the Medical College of Georgia.Born on September 28, 1986 in Augusta, he was the son of John B. and Amy Hardy.He attended Augusta Christian School for ten years and was a graduate of Edmund Burke Academy Class of 2005.Ben attended the First Baptist Church of Waynesboro.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by three siblings, John B. Hardy, III (Ambar), Lindsey Whinghter (Joel), and Dustin Hardy; his girlfriend, Angie Willis and her son, Hayden; paternal grandmother, Ruth Q. Hardy; maternal grandmother, Carleen Arban (Charlie); and three nieces, Astrid Hardy, Leah Hardy, and Emma Jo Whinghter.

The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall at the First Baptist Church of Waynesboro from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 20, 2010.At the conclusion of visitation, the funeral procession will leave the First Baptist Church and proceed to the family cemetery located at 2768 Highway 56 South, Waynesboro.The Graveside Service will start upon arrival at the cemetery.Dr. G. Al Wright, Jr. will officiate.Pallbearers will be Ben's cousins.

Ben will be truly missed by his family, friends, and all that knew him.

In lieu of flowers, if so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church "Celebrate Recovery Fund", 853 N. Liberty Street, Waynesboro, GA30830.
