Barbara Newton

April 10, 1941 — October 2, 2021

Barbara Poole Newton, 80, of Waynesboro, entered into rest on Saturday October 2, 2021 at the Keysville Nursing Home. She was born on April 10, 1941 to the late O.B. Poole and Sara Hillis Poole. Barbara will be missed by her family because she was a truly loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She also loved her dogs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell D. Newton, III; a granddaughter, Mallorie Israel; brother, Burley; and sister, Jane.
Surviving are her son, Brett Newton (Judy) of Blythe; daughter, Sarah Israel (Scott) of New Orleans, LA; grandsons, Russell Newton of Blythe and Andrew Newton of New Orleans, LA; granddaughter Alyssa Condrey of New Orleans, LA;great-granddaughters, Mattie Newton and Ryleigh Newton.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 5, at 3:00 PM, at Burke Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Steve Sirmons officiating.
