Barbara G Kosydar

Barbara G. Kosydar, 78, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, February 6, 2022. She was born on May 26, 1943, in Lansdale, PA to the late William Russell and Charlotte Naomi Davis Russell. She was a graduate of North Penn High School. In her younger years, Barbara was very involved in the Girl Scouts. Barbara was a soccer mom and band mom. Barbara enjoyed traveling to many destinations but especially enjoyed being at Myrtle Beach with her grandchildren. She belonged to the “Mountain Mamas and Beach Babes” social group. She was truly a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Barbara was a member of Green’s Cut United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Michael Kosydar.

Surviving are her son, Doug Kosydar (Natalie) of New Orleans, LA; a daughter, Tammy Gay (Scott) of Waynesboro; two grandsons, Bobby Gay (Abbey) of Waynesboro and Rusty Gay of Athens; a great-grandson, Deason Gay of Waynesboro; a brother, Gary Russell (Petra) of Oak Island, NC; two cousins, Dottie and Tina Reese of Conshohocken, PA; and several other relatives.

A memorial service honoring Barbara’s life will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at 4:00 PM outdoors at the cross at Green’s Cut United Methodist Church, 263 Greens Cut Church Rd. Waynesboro, GA 30830, with Reverend Jerry Sharpe officiating.
