Waynesboro, GA - Barbara P. Hebert, 73, entered into rest Wednesday, April 29, 2009, at her home.She was born on July 23, 1935 in Chatham County, Georgia to the late Dessie Miller Parker and Allie Virginia Carr Parker.She was retired from Samson's Manufacturing Company.She was a member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church and volunteered at the Wimberly House with the Latch Key Kids After-School Program.She was preceded in death by her husband, Luke J. Hebert, and her daughter, Kimberly Skinner.

She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Thames (Jackie) and Lisa Roberson (Roy); her sister, Marcia Anderson; her four grandchildren, Beth Scott (Russ), Jay Thames (Erin), Charlie Neely (Ashley), and Brandon Neely; and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2009, at DeLoach Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 3, at St. Michael's Episcopal Church with Rev. Kathryn H. Brinson officiating.Interment will follow at Burke Memorial Gardens.Pallbearers will be Roy E. Roberson, Monnie Clayton, Jay Thames, Jimmy Williams, Frank Williams, and Mort Atkins.

Flowers are being accepted; however, the family suggests that memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2607 Commons Blvd., Augusta, GA30909 or the American Heart Association, 1105 Furys Lane, Suite D, Augusta, GA30907.
