Arnoldine McNorrill Loren, beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great-Great Grandmother and friend to many, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2024. She was born on October 25, 1928, in Burke County, Ga. to Willett McNorrill and Beatrice Mallard McNorrill Mays.
She lived in Hephzibah, GA and was a devoted member of the Hephzibah United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed helping out with all the church social events. She retired from Gracewood State School and Hospital after 34 years of faithful service. Learning new skills was a passion for Arnoldine. While working, she took classes in computer technology, floral design, and art at Augusta Technical College. She became a beautiful artist and her many paintings have been enjoyed by her family and friends for years.
Arnoldine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jesse Allen Loren; her parents; her brothers, Howell and Joseph McNorrill; and her sisters, Catherine McNorrill, Jacqueline Mays Hill, and June Mays Hoyle.
She is survived by her children, Brenda Russell Hillis and Jacky Russell McBride (John); her Granddaughters, Paige McBride Scott (Robby) and April McBride Evans (Bill); her cherished 9 Great-Grandchildren; 2 Great Great-Grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and her dearest friend, Ellen Howell.
Memorial services will be held at Hephzibah United Methodist Church, Hephzibah, GA on July 19, 2024, at 11 AM officiated by Reverend Gary McWhorter. Visitation will be 1 hour before service in the Hephzibah United Methodist Church Family Life Center located next to the church.
Arnoldine McNorrill Loren leaves behind a legacy of love and grace. She never met a stranger and was always vibrant and full of life. She was truly a blessing and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
