Allen "Ikie" Miles

October 15, 1944 — February 16, 2011

Waynesboro, GA - Allen "Ikie" Miles, 66, entered into rest on Wednesday, February 16, 2011, at Medical College of Georgia.He was a native of Burke County and was a carpenter for most of his life.

He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Whisnant and son-in-law, Ronnie Whisnant, of Hephzibah; two sisters, Elsie DeLaigle of Waynesboro and Ellen Tapley of Alma, GA; three step-daughters, Debbie Perry of Wrens, Wanda Colone of Ellaville, and Brenda Martin of Waynesboro; nine grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.

The family will receive family and friends on Saturday, February 19, from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at DeLoach-McKerley Funeral Home.

The Memorial Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 20, at the funeral home with Rev. Wayne Dixon officiating.
