Covington, GA -Mr. Alex L. Williams passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017, at his residence in Covington, Georgia.
Mr. Williams was a native of Burke County and a resident of Covington, Georgia. He was a 1977 graduate of Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri.
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his father, Alex Williams formerly of Millen, his grandparents, W.L. Smith and Callie W. Smith formerly of Waynesboro and his step-father, Lester Lybrand formerly of Atlanta.
Surviving are his mother, Sarah Lybrand of Atlanta, Ga. and his step-sister, Pam Walker of Loganville, Ga.
Funeral Services will be 2:30 Saturday, April 15, 2017 in Burke Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home.
