Mrs. Addie Mae Helms
Louisville-Mrs. Addie Mae Helms, 87 passed away Friday, November 11, 2016 at the Heritage Healthcare Center in Louisville, Georgia. Mrs. Helms was a native of Bartow, Georgia and was a lifelong resident of Vidette. She was a member of the A.R. Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir and attended Sunday school at the Vidette United Methodist Church. She was retired from the Dahlia Curtain Factory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. John S. and Mrs. Addie S. Thomas, her husband, Huey Lee Helms, Sr., her son, Huey Lee Helms, Jr., her grandson, Jamie Helms and her sister, Gladys Tijan.
Surviving are, her daughters, Betty Black and husband Howard of Birdsville, Ga., and Sandy Screws and husband Tom of Swainsboro; her brother, John Samuel Thomas, Jr. of Vidette and her grandchildren, Lindsay Eubanks, Skye Leveritt, Helen Screws, Tom Screws, III, Renee Wilson, Gene Thomas and Shawn Helms; her great grandchildren, Ally Eubanks, Aubrey Eubanks, Layla Leveritt, Justin Wilson, Zachary Wilson, Brock Thomas, Alex Powell and one nephew Johnny Thomas and wife Dominee, her grandnephew, Dylan Thomas and grandniece, Megan Thomas.
Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, November 14, 2016 at the Vidette United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the Rose Dhu Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
