Jack Anderson

Waynesboro, GA. - John Russell Anderson, Sr. "Jack", 66, entered into rest Saturday, January 15, 2011 at University Hospital. He was born in South Carolina on July 31, 1944 to the late Vera and B.K. Anderson, Sr. In 1952 his family moved to Burke County. Following his father's footsteps, he became a farmer in both row crops and cows. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his only child, John Russell Anderson, Jr.

He is survived by his fianc, Deborah Oliver, of Waynesboro, and his brother, B.K. Anderson, Jr. (Delores), of Clarksville, GA.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 pm, on Monday, January 17, 2010 at the funeral home. The family will receive friends prior to the service starting at 5:00 pm. Rev. Wayne Dixon will officiate.Honorary Pallbearers will be Calvin Raley, Mike Hood, Gene Redd, Robert Phillips, Cameron Grunewald, Jesse Roundtree, Jim Branch, Perry Borren, Cleve Mobley, Mark Northcutt, George Mobley, Rick Stewart, Phil Walden, and Adam Hopkins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Lung Association, 2452 Spring Rd., Smyrna, GA. 30080 (1-800-586-4872).
