Charles E. "Charlie" Deason

Hephzibah, GA - Charles Edward "Charlie" Deason, 63, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017 at University Hospital.
Mr. Deason was born in Millen, Georgia and was a longtime resident of Jenkins and Burke County. He was a former longtime employee with Southeast Equipment Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Neal and Gracie Deason, his sister, Darthy Byrd, and his step-son, Hayward Johnson.
Surviving are his wife, Eloise Johnson Deason of Hephzibah, his brothers, Darvin Deason and wife Adela and James "Bo" Deason both of Burke County, his sister, Patricia Daniels of Pooler, Ga.; his step-children, Johnny Johnson of Hephzibah, James Johnson of Waynesboro, Debra Collins of Twin City, Ga., Ronnie Johnson of Hephzibah, Brandon Johnson of Hephzibah and nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, July 16, 2017 in the DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Matt Wigley officiating.
Remembrances may be made to the Waynesboro Church of God.
